AGROMEQA EXPO: ACCI to Link 500 Participants with Agro-Tech, Investors

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) will host over 500 participants at the maiden Agricultural Mechanization for Export-Quality Products in Africa (AGROMEQA EXPO 2026), connecting local producers, agritech developers, and agribusinesses with investors.
ACCI President, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, announced the event Tuesday at the Chamber’s headquarters in Abuja, describing it as a “landmark initiative” to reposition Nigeria’s agricultural sector for greater productivity and global export competitiveness.
The two-day expo, themed _“Technology and Investment for Agro-Export,”_ holds June 10–11, 2026, at the Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN, Trade and Convention Centre, ACCI Complex, Airport Road, Abuja.
Represented by the Deputy President, Aliyu Idi Hong said AGROMEQA EXPO will serve as a “strategic investment marketplace” linking local players with investors seeking viable projects in mechanisation, processing, logistics, and export operations.
“It will also host high-level plenary sessions, technical discussions, interactive workshops, and B2B engagements designed to foster synergy, mobilize capital, and promote investment partnerships and technology transfer,” he stated.
*VP Shettima, NACCIMA President to Lead*
Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected to officially declare the expo open, while NACCIMA President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, will deliver the keynote address on _“Agricultural Export and the Role of Private Capital in Its Value Chain.”_
The event will feature exhibitions of mechanised equipment, precision farming tools, irrigation systems, agro-processing innovations, and climate-smart solutions. A live demonstration arena will showcase cutting-edge farming technologies, while a dedicated agro-processing and packaging platform will spotlight local value addition.
Other highlights include a Schools’ Agro Exhibition and Competition to nurture young innovators.

Participants will include policymakers, agribusiness investors, machinery manufacturers, research institutions, farmers’ associations, development partners, financial institutions, and international organisations.
Obegolu said the expo reflects ACCI’s joint resolve with JMT Plus Farms and Agro-Allied and the Agricultural Trade Group to “accelerate agricultural modernisation as a pathway toward national prosperity.”
“By deepening mechanisation, innovation, and strategic investment, we aim to unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s agricultural sector, creating new jobs, strengthening rural economies, and enhancing competitiveness in global export markets,” he added.
He called on MDAs, private sector operators, and the international community to engage with the event, noting that “collaboration and capital mobilisation remain essential to achieving sustainable agricultural transformation.”
Recall that AGROMEQA EXPO 2026 is jointly organised by ACCI, the Agricultural Trade Group, and JMT Plus Farms and Agro-Allied. ACCI said inquiries for participation, partnership, and exhibition should be directed to its secretariat.
