The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has met with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, described as a reunion between old friends, comes amid growing political discussions surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Bwacha, a former senator and the PDP’s governorship flag bearer in Taraba State, held discussions with Akume, who serves as the SGF under the Tinubu administration.
Although details of the meeting were not disclosed, the engagement has drawn attention against the backdrop of political realignments and consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement issued through Bwacha Echo Media, the senator reaffirmed his commitment to engaging political stakeholders and strengthening relationships ahead of the next electoral cycle.
“As we continue to engage stakeholders and strengthen our political relationships ahead of the journey to 2027, we invite you all to journey with us,” the statement read.
The statement also featured Bwacha’s slogan, “Kowa Zai Samu,” which translates to “Everyone will benefit.”
The meeting comes as political actors across the country intensify consultations and engagements in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
