TRAG Reschedules National Women Leaders’ Symposium to October 6 in Abuja

The Tinubu Re-Election Action Group (TRAG) has announced a change in the date of its forthcoming flagship national programme, moving the event from Wednesday, October 7, to Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

The organisation disclosed this in an official announcement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chuka Onyema, PhD.

According to the statement, the programme will now hold at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The venue remains unchanged.

The change, TRAG explained, was made to enable the organisation secure and utilise the most suitable hall at Merit House, taking into consideration the expected capacity and requirements of the programme.

The event, tagged “TRAG Flagship National Programme: National Support Groups Women Leaders’ Symposium on Grassroots Political Engagement Towards the 2027 General Elections,” is expected to bring together women leaders and representatives of support groups for strategic discussions on grassroots political participation, mobilisation and community outreach ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A major highlight of the programme will be the public presentation of a handbook titled “APC! Great Party, Great Reward — President Tinubu’s Critical Scorecard.”

TRAG said the symposium is designed to provide a platform for engagement with women leaders and support groups on strategies for strengthening grassroots participation and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group also directed that all previously circulated invitation letters, cards, notices and publicity materials bearing October 7, 2026, should be regarded as superseded.

It stressed that Tuesday, October 6, 2026, is the correct and final date for the programme, adding that all formal invitation letters and cards would be updated accordingly.

TRAG expressed appreciation to invited guests, partners, National Executive Committee members, state coordinators and participating support groups for their understanding and cooperation.

The announcement was signed by Chuka Onyema, PhD, National Publicity Secretary, TRAG, under the slogan: “TRAG — Together We Are Strong.”
