RMAFC Reaffirms Commitment to Transparency, Accountability

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting integrity, transparency, accountability and ethical conduct in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.

Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Muhammed Bello Shehu, OFR, stated this at the opening of a five-day sensitisation and capacity-building workshop organised by the Commission’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) for newly recruited officers at the headquarters and state offices across the North-West geopolitical zone.

The workshop, which began on September 14 and will run until September 18, 2026, is being held at Bafra Hotel, Kaduna State, in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

According to RMAFC, the training is part of its broader institutional efforts to strengthen a culture of integrity, accountability and compliance with the principles of legality, transparency, due process and ethical conduct within the public service.

Shehu said the initiative underscored the Commission’s determination to ensure that its officers understand and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in carrying out their duties.

The workshop is expected to equip the newly recruited officers with relevant knowledge and practical skills to identify, prevent and address corrupt practices, while promoting responsible and transparent service delivery.

Delivering the opening remarks on behalf of the RMAFC Chairman, [insert name/designation] stressed the importance of building the capacity of officers to understand their responsibilities and maintain the ethical standards expected of public servants.

The Commission said the engagement would also strengthen collaboration between RMAFC and relevant anti-corruption institutions in the promotion of accountability and good governance.
