Saraki Offers Relocation Support to UNILORIN First-Class Graduate Awarded Italian Scholarship

Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has offered to pay the outstanding relocation expenses of a University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) First-Class graduate, Adisa Blessing Oluwafikayo, following her appeal for financial assistance on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Adisa, who graduated with a First-Class degree in Mathematics with a CGPA of 4.76/5.0, had announced that she secured a fully funded Master’s scholarship in Mathematics at the University of Calabria in Italy.

However, she explained that she lacked the funds needed to cover the cost of relocating and appealed to Nigerians for support.

Responding to her post, Saraki praised her academic excellence, describing her achievement as an inspiration and a reflection of the immense potential among Nigerian youths.

He noted that earning a First-Class degree in Mathematics from UNILORIN and securing a fully funded postgraduate admission abroad was an extraordinary accomplishment that deserved encouragement.

According to him, no hardworking young Nigerian should lose a life-changing educational opportunity because of relocation costs.

Saraki pledged to offset the remaining expenses required for Adisa’s relocation to Italy and disclosed that a member of his team, Nancy Ilochi, would contact her to facilitate the support.

He also congratulated the young scholar on her success and urged her to remain committed to excellence as she pursues her academic career.
