Trump Draws Laughs at G7 With “I’m the Boss” Entrance as Leaders Discuss AI, Iran, Ukraine

US President Donald Trump walked into the final morning session of the G7 summit and announced “I’m the boss,” drawing laughter from world leaders already seated.

The three-day summit in the spa town of Evian on Lake Geneva is hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. Trump’s entrance came during a session focused on reviving “balanced, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth” with G7 countries, partner nations, the IMF and OECD. He arrived alongside Director of State Protocol and Diplomatic Events Frederic Billet.

Macron greeted him lightly with “How are you?” Trump replied “Good, thank you,” then took his seat.

Talks at the summit covered artificial intelligence risks, social media challenges, tensions involving Iran, and efforts to end the war in Ukraine through pressure on Russia. Trump’s role stood out after he announced a deal related to the Iran conflict and marked his 80th birthday during the event.

Macron, under pressure to avoid appearing deferential, is expected to host Trump for dinner at the Palace of Versailles before the summit closes. He said the evening will not be a “gala” dinner.

The summit concludes today after three days of discussions on global economic and security issues.
