AFNIS 2026 to Focus on Bankable Projects, Regional Cooperation – Alake

Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, says the 5th African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit will target actionable projects and stronger continental collaboration to drive Africa’s industrial growth.

Scheduled for June 23–25, 2026 at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, AFNIS 2026 is expected to draw governments, global investors, development partners and industry executives from across Africa and beyond.

Speaking ahead of the event, Alake said this year’s theme, “One Africa, One Resource Vision “signals a shift toward a unified continental plan for minerals, energy and industrial development.

“This year we go further — unlocking bankable projects, deepening regional cooperation and driving policy that supports Africa’s industrial future,” the minister stated.

According to him, AFNIS has matured into a strategic platform for converting Africa’s natural resource endowment into economic value through investment deals and policy dialogue.

“AFNIS is a high-level platform that brings together governments, global investors, development partners and industry leaders to turn Africa’s natural wealth into real economic value,” Alake said.

He noted that earlier editions helped shape major investment conversations and broadened partnerships both within Africa and internationally.

Describing the 2026 summit as a turning point, Alake said it would advance a collective approach to resource development that transcends national borders.

“Under the theme ‘One Africa, One Resource Vision,’ we are moving beyond national boundaries to build a shared continental strategy for minerals, energy and industrial development,” he added.

The minister urged investors and stakeholders to take part in the summit and help shape the continent’s economic trajectory.

“I have the honour and pleasure to invite you to be part of this defining moment and invest in Africa’s future. Powered by Africa and for Africa,” Alake concluded.
