The General Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Comrade Alexander Fanafa, has declared that the people of Benue State are ready and determined to mobilise massive support for the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia in the 2027 governorship election.

Fanafa said the massive turnout of residents at the inauguration of the Tinubu/Alia Campaign Council in Makurdi was a clear indication of the people’s confidence in the leadership of Governor Alia and their willingness to ensure his return for a second term.

He noted that the impressive attendance reflected the enthusiasm, trust and renewed hope Benue people have in the administration, which he said had recorded remarkable achievements across various sectors of the state’s economy within its first tenure.

The Benue Links boss made the remarks on Thursday while speaking with FirmNews Media in his office shortly after the inauguration of the campaign council.

According to him, the inclusive and people-oriented governance style of the Alia administration has earned the governor widespread acceptance beyond political and personal sentiments.

He maintained that the governor’s achievements in road construction and infrastructural development across the 23 local government areas of the state were visible testimonies of his commitment to transforming Benue State.

“With what we have witnessed, the 2027 Benue governorship election will be a walkover for Governor Alia,” Fanafa declared.

He acknowledged the unwavering support of youths, women, elders and other critical stakeholders across the state, stressing that their collective resolve to support the governor demonstrated that there was no credible alternative to his leadership at this time.

Fanafa expressed confidence that Alia’s re-election would provide the opportunity for the administration to consolidate its achievements and sustain ongoing development initiatives for the benefit of present and future generations.

He further described the governor’s policies and programmes as people-centred, noting that their impact was being felt directly by ordinary residents.

Citing the subsidised transportation services provided by Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Fanafa said the initiative had helped ease the financial burden on commuters and addressed some of the challenges associated with transportation.

He urged the people of Benue State to replicate and surpass the political support that secured Alia’s victory in the 2023 governorship election by turning out massively to support his re-election bid in 2027.
