The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced a power disruption affecting parts of Mararaba, One Man Village, Ado, New Karu and other communities in Nasarawa State following a fire outbreak involving a transmission facility.

The affected areas include parts of Mararaba, One Man Village, Ado, New Karu, APPMA, Adokasa, New Nyanya, Nyanya Gwandara and parts of Masaka and their environs.

AEDC disclosed this in a public announcement dated October 27, 2026, explaining that the disruption was caused by a fire outbreak on the Transmission Company of Nigeria’s (TCN) 33KV Feeder K5 Yellow Phase Current Transformer.

According to the electricity distribution company, TCN’s technical team was working to rectify the fault and restore electricity supply to the affected communities.

The company had projected that power supply would be restored around 12 noon on Tuesday, October 27.

AEDC expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the interruption and appealed to affected customers to exercise patience and understanding while repair work continued.

The company also provided its customer service line, 08039070070, for further enquiries and updates on the restoration of electricity supply.
