The Spokesperson and Head of Media and Publicity of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Dele Oyewale, has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management.
Oyewale was inducted as a Fellow on Saturday, October 10, 2026, while the formal presentation of his Fellowship certificate took place on Thursday, October 15, at his office at the EFCC headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.
At the presentation ceremony, Sarki Dogara, who represented the Registrar of the Institute, formally conferred the Fellowship on Oyewale, granting him the rights and privileges associated with the professional distinction in accordance with the Institute’s governing laws.
The Fellowship certificate, bearing the Institute’s seal and the signatures of its officers, serves as formal recognition of Oyewale’s new status and the privileges attached to the honour.
In his acceptance speech, Oyewale expressed appreciation to the Institute for the recognition and pledged to remain an active and committed member.

He also urged members of the Institute to support the EFCC’s anti-corruption campaign, emphasising the importance of public diplomacy, advocacy and effective communication in mobilising citizens to take ownership of the fight against corruption.
According to him, public engagement and advocacy are essential tools for strengthening public participation and securing collective support for the Commission’s efforts to combat corruption.
The presentation ceremony was attended by Oyewale’s colleagues at the EFCC.
The Fellowship adds to Oyewale’s professional credentials as the Commission’s spokesperson, a position that involves communicating its activities, promoting public awareness and engaging the media and other stakeholders on its anti-corruption mandate.
