A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Umar Abutu Omar, has appealed to Nigerians, particularly people of the Middle Belt, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
Omar said the reforms and development initiatives of the Tinubu administration had become visible across the country, insisting that the President deserved another term to consolidate his achievements.
Speaking as a stakeholder at the Progressive Middle Belt Congress (PMBC) held in Abuja on Wednesday ahead of the 2027 elections, the APC chieftain expressed confidence that the party would secure victory, saying stakeholders had already commenced mobilisation across the Middle Belt and other parts of the country.
“By the grace of God, with what the President has done, Nigeria will come up and master both. We have done our own work as stakeholders of APC, and the President himself, we all know what he is doing.
“So victory is Sure—100 per cent,” he said.
Omar said Nigerians could see the impact of the administration’s reforms, especially in infrastructure and road development, urging citizens to acknowledge the progress being recorded.
“The reforms are everywhere for everyone to see. You are living in the FCT here; you see the roads, infrastructure, you see everything,” he said.
He, however, acknowledged that the country had yet to reach its desired destination, but expressed optimism that another term for Tinubu would enable the administration to consolidate its policies and take Nigeria closer to what he described as the “promised land.”
The APC chieftain also disclosed that stakeholders from the Middle Belt were working together to mobilise support for the President ahead of the election.
“This is the stakeholders from the Middle Belt and we are putting our heads together to see how we deliver massively in the Middle Belt.
“You know, the Middle Belt is the heart of the country, and we are people who are ready to bring good governance to Nigeria. We are ready to go; we are good to go,” he said.
Omar said the group would embark on extensive grassroots mobilisation, stressing that its members were prepared to work across communities to secure votes for the APC.
“These people you have seen, we will mobilise and mobilise and mobilise until we win. By the grace of God, God will give us victory,” he added.
Asked about the specific strategies the group would deploy, Omar said the details would remain confidential, stressing that the mobilisation team had its plans in place.
“Our strategy is ours. But we will go round everywhere in Nigeria to make sure that we canvas and campaign for the President,” he said.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the group’s young men and women to drive the mobilisation effort, saying they were prepared to work across the country to deliver victory for Tinubu in 2027.
