Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has participated in the 2026 Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nasarawa State Chapter, held in Lafia, the state capital.

The conference, which featured the Nasarawa Governorship Policy Dialogue 2026, focused on the theme, “From Mineral Wealth to Shared Prosperity.”

The dialogue provided a platform for stakeholders to examine how the state can harness its vast mineral resources to drive sustainable economic growth, create opportunities and improve the living standards of its people.

Participants at the event deliberated on the opportunities and challenges confronting the state’s mining sector, as well as strategies for converting its mineral endowments into broad-based economic benefits.

A major highlight of the conference was the launch of the Nasarawa State Conversation Series 1.0 by the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku.

The conversation series is designed to promote sustained dialogue, constructive public discourse and greater stakeholder participation on issues affecting the development and future of Nasarawa State.

The event attracted government officials, public relations practitioners, policymakers, professionals, traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders.

Discussions at the conference also highlighted the role of strategic communication, effective public relations and stakeholder engagement in building public support for development policies and ensuring that the benefits of the state’s mineral resources translate into tangible
improvements in the lives of citizens.

The gathering further underscored the importance of collaboration among government, communities, professionals and other stakeholders in achieving sustainable development and shared prosperity in Nasarawa State.
