Personal Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, Yvonne Okeke, has provided financial assistance to indigent patients at Maitama District Hospital, Abuja, by settling their outstanding medical bills.

The intervention, which formed part of her humanitarian outreach, targeted vulnerable children, women, men and families who were unable to meet the cost of essential medical treatment.

By clearing the outstanding bills, Okeke enabled affected patients to continue receiving medical care while relieving their families of the financial pressure associated with their treatment.

The beneficiaries and their families expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the intervention as timely support that provided relief at a difficult period.

Okeke said the initiative reflects her commitment to supporting vulnerable Nigerians and promoting access to essential healthcare, particularly for families facing financial hardship.

She also indicated plans to extend the humanitarian intervention to other parts of the country, including Kaduna, Anambra and Lagos states, as part of efforts to reach more vulnerable individuals and families.

The outreach underscores the role of humanitarian interventions in complementing efforts to support people who may struggle to meet essential healthcare costs.
