Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has felicitated with his Principal Private Secretary (PPS), Dr. Emmanuel Chenge, on his 63rd birthday, describing him as an experienced administrator whose expertise has contributed significantly to the effective running of his administration.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, and made available to journalists, Governor Alia commended Chenge for his commitment to public service and his wealth of professional experience.
The Governor noted that Chenge’s career, spanning more than two decades, covers key areas including human resources management, administration, procurement and organisational development.
He particularly acknowledged Chenge’s previous service as Director of Administration and Support Services at the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), saying the experience had strengthened his capacity to effectively discharge his responsibilities as Principal Private Secretary.
Governor Alia praised Chenge’s diligence, discretion and understanding of the demands of public service, noting that his ability to translate ideas and strategies into practical results had remained valuable to the administration.
He also commended his commitment to people management and his recognition of human capital as a critical resource for institutional growth and effective governance.
According to the Governor, Chenge’s 63rd birthday provides an opportunity to appreciate his contributions to Benue State and celebrate his continued dedication to serving others.
“Your 63rd birthday provides an opportunity to appreciate your contributions to the state and to celebrate the journey of a professional who has continued to deploy his knowledge and experience in the service of others,” Alia said.
He urged Chenge to remain committed to responsible leadership, professionalism and service as he continues to support the administration’s efforts to advance the development of Benue State.
Governor Alia also prayed to God to grant his Principal Private Secretary sound health, wisdom, strength and fulfilment as he continues to contribute to the development of the state.
