From the serene community of Kortsav in Mbaajirekaa, Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State, to the realms of academia, management and public administration, the career of Sir Yenge Raphael Aondoaseer reflects a steady progression built on education, professional development and a commitment to public service.
Born on May 15, 1988, Aondoaseer has over the years developed a diverse professional profile spanning psychology, education, management, politics and local government administration.
His academic career began at the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2017.
Determined to broaden his knowledge beyond his primary discipline, he later obtained a Diploma in Commerce in 2022, adding another dimension to his academic and professional background.
His commitment to professional growth also saw him join the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria, in 2019, expanding his interests into management consultancy.
Aondoaseer’s academic interest in psychology has extended beyond the classroom into research and scholarly writing. He contributed to the Benue Journal of Social Sciences, with a published paper titled, “Impact of Mentoring on the Development of Psychology Graduate Students in Nigeria,” featured in Volume 11, No. 2.
From Academia to Public Service
Before making a deeper transition into public administration, Aondoaseer gained valuable experience in the education sector.
In 2023, he served as a lecturer at Commonwealth College of Education, Abuja, where he combined his academic training with teaching, mentorship and interaction with students.
His career took a new direction in 2024 when he was appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor in the Office of the Speaker.
The appointment marked a significant step into political and public service, giving him an opportunity to apply his knowledge and experience to governance and public administration.
Recognition for Leadership and Service
Aondoaseer’s professional and community engagements have also earned him recognition from various organisations.
In 2023, he received the London Graduate School’s Time Management Meritocracy Award.
The following year, Mkar Old Students honoured him as its Outstanding Alumni of the Year.
In 2025, he received an award from the Nigerian House of Dream Parliament, while in 2026, he was recognised among recipients of the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award (LOGEXA).
The honours have come at different stages of his career and reflect recognition of his contributions to education, leadership, management and public service.
Beyond his official responsibilities, Aondoaseer is affiliated with professional and humanitarian organisations, including the Nigerian Psychological Association, the Red Cross Society and the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria.
A Blend of Intellect and Personality
Away from his professional engagements, Aondoaseer maintains interests that reflect both intellectual curiosity and physical activity.
He counts chess and badminton among his hobbies, combining the strategic thinking required in chess with the physical demands of badminton.
He is married and, in a rather unusual but humorous detail contained in his personal profile, lists the number of chickens he owns as one—an entry that offers a lighter glimpse into the personality behind the formal résumé.
His guiding philosophy is captured in two simple expressions: “With God all things are possible” and “live and let live.”
