The Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, has received the Blueprint Newspaper Service Merit Award for Fiscal Governance and Reformer of the Year 2025.
Shehu received the award on Tuesday at the 8th edition of the Blueprint Newspaper Public Lecture, Impact Series and Awards held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The event, themed “Security Challenges and Integrity of Nigeria’s 2027 Election,” brought together political leaders, government officials and other stakeholders to deliberate on electoral security, the strength of democratic institutions and the responsibility of Nigerians in protecting the integrity of the 2027 electoral process.
According to RMAFC, the award recognises Shehu’s contributions to public service, fiscal accountability and institutional development.
Other recipients of the Blueprint Newspaper awards included the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal; former Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari; former Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar;
Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, James Faleke; Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso; and Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN.
The recognition adds to the growing acknowledgement of the commission’s role in strengthening Nigeria’s fiscal governance and revenue allocation framework.
