Army Hands Over 6,500 Recruits to Depot Nigerian Army Zaria for Basic Training

The Chief of Administration (Army), Major General IM Abdullahi, has handed over 6,500 newly recruited soldiers to the Commandant, Depot Nigerian Army Zaria, Major General AB Mohammed, for the start of their basic military training.

Representing the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Abdullahi formally transferred the recruits during a ceremony at the Depot in Zaria.

The handover signals the commencement of a six-month foundational training programme designed to prepare the recruits for professional service in the Nigerian Army.

Receiving the recruits, Major General AB Mohammed assumed responsibility for their training and development into disciplined, combat-ready soldiers in accordance with Nigerian Army standards.
