39 Ships Carrying Fuel, Food, Containers to Berth in Lagos Ports This Week – NPA

Respite halfway on fuel and gas prices hike as the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) revealed  that 39 ships laden with petroleum products, food items, and other goods are expected at Apapa Port, Lekki Deep Sea Port, and Tincan Island Port in Lagos between June 23 and June 28.

According to NPA’s Daily Shipping Position released Tuesday, 13 of the vessels will bring in containers with various goods, while 26 will carry bulk cargo including urea, petrol, crude oil, aviation fuel, condensate, millet, wheat, sugar, salt, clinker, fresh fish, sour oil, and gypsum.

The Authority also noted that 9 ships and tankers have already arrived at the three ports and are awaiting berth. The vessels are carrying petroleum oil, petrol, bulk fertilizer, diesel, containers, and crude oil.

Additionally, 26 ships are currently discharging at the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Apapa, and Tincan Island. Cargo being offloaded includes bulk wheat, ethanol, general cargo, containers, bulk urea, bulk gas, petrol, diesel, and crude oil.

NPA said the influx of vessels reflects ongoing trade activity at Lagos ports ahead of the new week.
