Kwara APC Aspirants Back Seriki Ahead of Governorship Primary

No fewer than five governorship aspirants in the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress have declared support for Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki ahead of today’s primary election.

The endorsement followed strategic meetings held yesterday between Seriki, other aspirants, and key party stakeholders across the state.

At the meeting, the aspirants resolved to rally behind Seriki’s candidature, citing the need for party unity and continuity of the progressive agenda under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The group said the decision came after extensive consultations and was driven by a shared goal of consolidating the gains of the current administration. They described Seriki as a candidate aligned with the developmental aspirations of the people and the party’s leadership direction.

Other party leaders who pledged support include Dr. Salako Muyideen Oluwatoyin, Captain Ahmad Mahmoud, Professor Wale Sulaiman, Dr. Mohammed Omar Bio, Dr. Toyin Alabi, Hajia Aisha Ahman Patigi, Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, and the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi.

The meeting ended with a commitment to party cohesion, issue-based engagement, and a peaceful primary process to strengthen the APC in Kwara State.
