Prominent Kaduna figure Sheik Ahmad Tijani has declared his intention to contest the governorship of Kaduna State on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The announcement adds to the growing list of political figures aligning with the ADC ahead of the 2027 elections in Kaduna.
Sheik Tijani while speaking to Journalists at ADC headquarters Abuja on Friday shortly after picking his interest form said his decision was driven by the need to provide alternative leadership focused on security, youth empowerment, and economic revitalization in the state.
He pledged to prioritize inclusive governance and address challenges in education, agriculture, and infrastructure if elected.
Tijani’s entry comes as the ADC in Kaduna has been in the spotlight with preparation to challenge the incumbent APC Gov Sani.
The Governorhip Aspirant has been an inspiration for massive grassroots empowerment thereby giving to the people.
According to the people have consulted him to contest for the Governorship and he is assured that he will win during the general elections in 2027 noting that the current administration fails to address public centric agenda.
The ADC has been positioning itself as a coalition platform in several states, including Kaduna, as political realignments build toward 2027.
Neither the ADC state chapter nor INEC has released a formal timetable for party primaries ahead of the governorship election.
