The Publicity and Media Relations Committee of the Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transportation Engineers (NIHTE) has congratulated Engr. Dr. Bola Mudasiru, FNSE, FNIHTE, FNICE, on his election as the new Chairman of the Institution.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Engr. Efe R. Ufuoma, MNSE, MNIHTE, the committee described Dr. Mudasiru’s emergence as a significant milestone for NIHTE and the broader community of highway and transportation engineers in Nigeria.
The committee expressed confidence that his wealth of professional experience, commitment to engineering development and understanding of the challenges confronting Nigeria’s highway and transportation sector would contribute significantly to the growth of the Institution during his tenure.
According to the committee, NIHTE has an important role to play in strengthening professional standards and promoting innovative and sustainable solutions to the country’s infrastructure and transportation challenges.
It noted that Nigeria’s growing focus on infrastructure development, mobility and sustainable transportation makes the work of professional bodies such as NIHTE increasingly important.
The committee further expressed optimism that the new administration under Dr. Mudasiru would create opportunities for greater professional engagement, knowledge sharing and collaboration among members, while advancing the engineering profession.
“His wealth of professional experience, commitment to engineering development and understanding of the challenges confronting the highway and transportation sector will be valuable assets as he assumes the responsibilities of his new office,” the statement said.
The committee wished the newly elected chairman wisdom, good health and strength, while praying for a successful and impactful tenure.
