Sowore Proposes AI as Finance Minister, Drone as Defence Minister in Radical 2027 Governance Plan

Human rights activist and African Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has unveiled a tech-driven blueprint for government, saying a future AAC administration would appoint Artificial Intelligence as Minister of Finance and deploy a drone as Minister of Defence.

Speaking on Friday, Sowore said the proposal is part of a broader push to replace political patronage with systems built on efficiency, transparency and accountability.

According to him, putting automated systems in charge of public finance would cut out the leakages and mismanagement that have plagued government spending for years.

“Sowore2027 will appoint Artificial Intelligence as ‘Minister of Finance’ and a ‘Drone’ as Minister of Defence,” he declared.

“The AI will eliminate human manipulation, waste, and corruption in public finance by making data-driven, transparent decisions,” he added.

On security, the AAC leader argued that Nigeria’s defence architecture needs a complete overhaul. He said replacing conventional bureaucratic structures with technology would deliver faster response times and better oversight.

“The Drone will redefine national security with modern surveillance, rapid response, precision, and accountability.”

“The future of governance is technology, not patronage,” Sowore concluded.

The statement signals the AAC’s intent to position technology as the central pillar of its 2027 campaign platform.
